Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and private homes. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition. Support individuals with disabilities and seniors in daily living activities, promoting independence where possible. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Document patient care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality of client information. Engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.

Experience

Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

Nursing home experience or senior care settings. Working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care. Home care or caregiving roles that involve patient care and medical terminology knowledge. Experience in hospice care or case management is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client mobility assistance.
