Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Caretaker to oversee the maintenance and operations of our apartment building. This is a live in position.

Duties

Manage daily operations of the building, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. Routine maintenance activities including HVAC, electrical systems, and plumbing to ensure optimal functionality. Always ensure resident safety and security General repairs carpentry, drywall repairs/mudding, basic electrical, plumbing including flush valves, taps, shower heads, sink installs, tap installs, caulking, minor appliance repair, boiler heating, locks, keys, deadbolts, door closers leaky taps, replace and/or repair plugged toilets. Perform routine walk through of the buildings for building safety and preventative maintenance. Perform carpentry tasks including flooring installation and residential painting Utilize hand and power tools to complete construction projects efficiently Regular cleaning of building common areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and cleaning of all halls, air vents, light fixtures, emergency lights, fire extinguishers, landings, entrance, elevators, laundry room and office area. Coordination between contractors and tenants On-call support for after-hour emergencies alternates Painting and minor ground maintenance Identify any issues and recommend solutions to prevent any incidents
Qualifications

High School Diploma and 5 years work related experience. Valid driver's license and valid vehicle
