Young individual with My condition is called Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral Palsy or CP for short, is a neuromuscular disorder that people get from a brain injury during or after birth. There are different types of CP. For example, someone could only have one side of their body or just one limb affected. It all depends upon where the brain injury is. My damage is in the basal ganglia which is the center for motor muscle skills. So if I grab something like a bottle, I could reach my arm out, but facilitating the wrist and finger movements, to grab the bottle is impossible because of the damage. That is a basic understanding of what Cerebral Palsy is.
