Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and environmentally conscious Litter Picker to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain cleanliness in designated outdoor areas by collecting litter and debris. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preserving the environment and ensuring that public spaces remain clean and inviting. This position requires physical stamina and a willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Collect litter, debris, and waste from parks, streets, and other public areas. Maintain cleanliness by regularly inspecting assigned areas for litter accumulation. Utilize hand tools and power tools as necessary for effective litter collection. Assist in landscape maintenance tasks, including gardening, digging, and building small structures as needed. Ensure proper disposal of collected waste according to local regulations. Report any hazardous materials or unsafe conditions encountered during work. Collaborate with team members to improve overall cleanliness and maintenance of the environment.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely. Experience in landscape maintenance is preferred but not required. Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks. Physical capability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods while working outdoors. A commitment to environmental stewardship and community service. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
