Litigation Associate

Ottawa, ON, CA, Canada

Job Description

About Us

Simmonds Law is a business-focused law firm that does things differently. We're a modern, entrepreneurial team that prioritizes client results, smart growth, and a genuinely positive work environment. Many of our clients are small and mid-sized business owners, and we actively support our associates by marketing their services internally and through our extended professional network across Eastern Ontario.

We are expanding our litigation practice group to meet the increasing needs of our diverse client base. Our firm regularly handles civil, commercial, employment, estate, and family-related disputes, and we're looking for a motivated junior litigator to join our growing team.

We care about doing excellent legal work - and ensuring our lawyers are well-compensated for it. We also believe strongly in collaboration and mentorship, which is why this role is in-office to ensure effective training, support, and team integration.

A partial book of business is a strong asset but not required. We welcome candidates who are beginning to build their own client base and who want a firm that will actively support that growth.

You will receive hands-on mentorship, strong administrative support, and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your capabilities grow.

Competitive salary and compensation structure tied to performance and business development

Firm-paid parking

Annual marketing budget to support the development of your professional presence

Why Join Us?

This isn't a traditional law firm. We don't do things "because that's the way it's always been done." We're constantly evolving and open to new ways of delivering value - to clients and to each other. If you're looking for a firm where you will be supported, challenged, and rewarded for your work, we want to hear from you.
