Job Description

The Learning Disabilities Association of Niagara Region (LDANR) is a registered charity whose mission is to provide resources and support to individuals who are affected by learning disabilities (LDs) within the Niagara Region. We provide leadership in learning disabilities advocacy, research, education and services.

Position Summary



Reporting to the Executive Director, the Literacy Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of LDANR literacy programming for children and youth with a diagnosed, identified or suspected learning disability.

This role is full-time (1-Year Contract) from January 12, 2026 to January 12, 2027 (with possibility of extension) with a combination of remote work and

minimum of 2 days in-office work

per week at the LDANR office located on 1338 Fourth Avenue, Unit 5215, St. Catharines. The hourly wage is $23.98.

Responsibilities



Administration and management of program staff and volunteers including recruitment, training, orientation, supervision and appreciation; Administration of program participant registration and screening; Communication with program clients, staff, volunteers and LDANR stakeholders; Liaise with community partners; Develop program materials such as promotional materials, feedback forms, etc.; Oversee program data collection and evaluation; Ensure programming aligns with funding and agency requirements; Manage program-specific budgets; Assist with reporting to funders; Maintain confidential records and files; Assist with agency fundraising initiatives; Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications, Experience and Skills



Post-secondary education in Education, Psychology, Child and Youth Studies, or other related field; Knowledgeable about learning disabilities; Experience working with and supporting individuals with learning disabilities; Understanding of the not-for-profit sector/community-based organizations; Experience in programming and evaluation; Experience recruiting, supporting and managing staff and/or volunteers; Computer literate in all Microsoft Office applications; Manages both time and projects efficiently and effectively; Evidence to support ability to multi-task; Highly organized with strong administrative skills and budgetary management skills; Professional and responsible with sensitive and confidential issues; Superior verbal/written skills, professional demeanor, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills; Willingness to work flexible hours.

valid within one year; Up-to-date

Standard First Aid and CPR-C

; Access to

reliable transportation

and willingness to travel throughout the region; A working device with

microphone, camera, and reliable internet access.
