As Store Manager, your are the captain of the retail ship, responsible for steering the store team towards success exceeding our customers\xe2\x80\x99 expectations. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Promote superior customer service to provide an exceptional customer shopping experience

Be a coach and a champion of development to your team by living our values and culture: this means open and honest feedback and coaching, challenging colleagues to be their best, walking the talk, and recognizing and rewarding colleagues in the moment. Effectively doing so will drive key outcomes of engagement, retention, and productivity.

Accountable for all financial aspects in the store around budgets and achieving sales and profit targets

Guide stores in the execution of merchandising and operational standards, and in dealing with specific issues such as ensuring sufficient inventory, driving effective operation process, product knowledge, troubleshooting problems

Ensure store adherence to company policies/procedures and consistent execution of format process and strategy.

Partner with colleagues to strive for continuous improvement and engage in best practice sharing with a focus on improving customer experience.

Maintain store communication with all staff to provide updates, progress on current and upcoming programs, events, operation challenges and opportunities

Build sustainable, long-term relationships with the community

What you need:

Post-secondary education (university or college) or equivalent experience in a retail environment with knowledge of the Provincial Liquor Laws in Alberta with successful completion of ProServe certification.

3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in managing a retail store

Exceptional customer service skills and a talent for building customer loyalty

Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, coach and motivate colleagues with a commitment to their team and to delivering consistent results every day.

Strong financial acumen to deliver outstanding business results; experience managing an operations P&L preferred

Proven commitment to coaching and mentoring direct reports and team with a focus on colleague development

An effective change agent who possesses the influencing skills needed to help the stores/organization adopt new ways of thinking and operating

Excellent problem solving, communication, organizational, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments and having a \xe2\x80\x98customer lens\xe2\x80\x99 in all decision making

Must be available to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Repetitive physical labour required, must be able to lift up to 35lbs within work safe guidelines
