Summary

We are seeking a Line Technician to join our team at Can-Traffic Services Ltd. This role is vital in ensuring the precise identification and marking of underground utilities prior to construction activities. Located in Alberta, this position plays a key role in maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency.

What you will do Everyday

Conduct accurate locates of underground utilities using specialized equipment. Collaborate with field teams to ensure safe digging practices are followed. Maintain detailed records of locate requests and results for compliance purposes. Communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders regarding locate findings. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company standards. Other duties as assigned

Skills Required

Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to workdays/nights/weekends or out of town if necessary Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability

Qualifications Needed

High School Diploma with previous line locating, mapping and GPS experience Valid Alberta Class 5 and submission of a 5-year Commercial Driver's Abstract with less than 5 demerits Utility Advanced Line Locating Certification (PAL, CAPULC, or equivalent) Air Brakes (Q) Endorsement is an asset

Pay: $20.84-$26.60 per hour
