Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Line Haul Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles in the Evening to Calgary from Red Deer and Return in a safely and Efficient manor

Responsibilities

Safely operate 5 Ton trucks from red Deer to Calgary and Return , adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination, ensuring timely deliveries Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and other essential systems Load and unload freight using forklifts as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Perform basic troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues during transit

Skills

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and other loading machinery Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for transportation Ability to perform basic troubleshooting to maintain vehicle performance Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and delivery schedules Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, clients, and team members Physical ability to load/unload freight, operate heavy equipment, and perform vehicle inspections as required This role is vital for maintaining efficient logistics operations while ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
