We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook and/or Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food, and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment. The Line Cook and/or Sous Chef will play a vital role in supporting the culinary team to meet restaurant standards and guest expectations.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing, cooking, and plating a variety of menu items with precision and consistency.
Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring all food safety and handling procedures are followed.
Oversee food preparation activities, including meal assembly and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock to minimize waste.
Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff to uphold quality standards.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Ensure timely service delivery by coordinating with front-of-house staff.
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or food industry setting.
Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen sanitation standards.
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly preferred.
Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service hours.
Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary best practices.
Strong leadership skills to supervise kitchen staff effectively.
