We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all meals are prepared to perfection and that the kitchen runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
Ensure that all food is prepared according to established recipes and standards.
Oversee kitchen staff, providing guidance and support during meal preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques.
Help maintain a positive work environment by fostering teamwork among kitchen staff.
Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within the food service or restaurant industry.
Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team effectively.
