We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Your expertise in food preparation and safety will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
- Cook and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management to ensure all necessary supplies are available.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and sanitation.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal assembly processes.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
