Duties

Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items, including chopping, slicing, and measuring Cook dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards, ensuring consistency and quality Assist with food presentation and plating to enhance visual appeal Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety guidelines Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks Ensure all food served meets safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages

Skills

Proven experience in serving, food preparation, and cooking within a restaurant or food service setting Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices in the food industry Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards Excellent understanding of kitchen operations, including food safety regulations Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assist with various kitchen tasks as needed
