We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of food safety and handling practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Assist in the development of new menu items and specials.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
Handle food products safely and responsibly, minimizing waste.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Follow all health and safety guidelines in the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
