We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong understanding of meal preparation and food safety practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality dishes to our guests.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and marinating as needed.
Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and preparing meals according to established standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality food output.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management.
Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Help with the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service hours.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and kitchen safety practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
