We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is vital in preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all menu items meet our standards for taste, presentation, and food safety. Duties
Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
Assist in menu planning and ingredient ordering to ensure freshness and quality
Cook and plate meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
Support the team during service hours by managing multiple orders and prioritizing tasks effectively
Follow dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary needs when necessary
Assist with catering events or special functions as required
Adhere to food safety standards, including proper knife skills, food storage, and hygiene practices
Experience
Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred
Experience working in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is highly desirable
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations within the food industry
Proven culinary experience with excellent knife skills and meal preparation techniques
Knowledge of menu planning, food safety protocols, and catering services
Familiarity with food handling regulations and sanitation standards
Previous restaurant experience demonstrating the ability to work efficiently under pressure is advantageous
