We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Duties
Assist in meal preparation by chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards.
Cook menu items to perfection, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
Collaborate with the head chef and other kitchen staff to create new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Help manage inventory by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
Participate in daily prep work, including cleaning, cutting, and marinating ingredients as needed.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
