Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our small kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a commitment to food safety and handling practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment. Assist in the setup of the kitchen for service, including stocking ingredients and supplies. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Help maintain a positive work environment by communicating effectively with team members.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen.
