We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in meal preparation and cooking, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food handling and food safety practices are followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Assist in the planning of menus and meal preparation schedules.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
Food Handling Certificate is required or must be obtained upon starting.
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is required.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent communication skills and teamwork mentality.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
