Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and be committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently during service hours.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled properly. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; assist with ordering as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety procedures. Participate in regular cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is required. Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in meal preparation. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. A passion for cooking and the food industry is essential.
