Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently. This position requires a passion for food, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency in dishes served. Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring timely delivery of meals. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and preparation. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members. A positive attitude and willingness to help others in the kitchen environment.
