We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Ensure all food handling and safety guidelines are strictly followed to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
Help with the training of new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is required.
Familiarity with food service operations, including meal preparation and food handling techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations within the food industry is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues in a busy environment.
