We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, supporting the overall dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and food safety standards, with a passion for delivering exceptional meals to our guests.
Duties
Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to menu specifications and recipes
Assist in menu planning and develop new culinary ideas to enhance offerings
Cook and plate food items with attention to presentation and quality standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Support catering events and special functions as needed
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs for timely restocking
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or catering setting
Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation procedures
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
Experience with menu planning and fine dining presentation is a plus
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is advantageous
Strong teamwork, communication skills, and attention to detail
Culinary experience including kitchen experience within the food industry or restaurant experience is highly valued
