Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals and maintaining food safety standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage. Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying management of shortages. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours. Help develop new menu items and contribute creative ideas for meal preparation.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Experience in meal preparation and cooking in a restaurant or food service setting. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A passion for the food industry and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
