Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling and meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our restaurant, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas. Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed diligently. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Participate in regular training sessions on food handling and safety practices. Support the head chef in menu planning and special event preparations as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred. Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and kitchen equipment is essential. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
