We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in meal preparation and ensuring that our food service operates smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food handling and safety practices, as well as experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure high-quality dishes.
Cook menu items according to established standards and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Skills
Proficient in food handling techniques and meal preparation processes.
Previous experience in the food industry or a restaurant setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and presentation of dishes.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
