Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook a variety of meals in accordance with established recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure all food handling and preparation meets health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
• Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
• Adhere to food safety protocols, including proper cooking temperatures and sanitation practices.
• Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling, food safety practices, and meal preparation techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that meet customer expectations.
