We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure that all food is prepared according to our standards of excellence, while adhering to food safety regulations. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about cooking and eager to contribute to a dynamic kitchen team.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Follow food safety protocols for handling, storing, and preparing food.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
Participate in daily cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
Experience
Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new techniques and recipes.
