Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, portioning, and assembling dishes for service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols
Support kitchen staff during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Help with menu planning and ingredient ordering to ensure the availability of fresh supplies for daily operations
Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, storage guidelines, and hygiene practices
Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff
Qualifications
Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued
Proven culinary experience in restaurant or food service settings, especially in fine dining or catering environments
Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
