We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our busy kitchen team. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen to deliver high-quality meals to our customers. Duties
Prepare ingredients according to recipes and standards, including chopping, marinating, and portioning.
Cook and assemble dishes in accordance with menu specifications, maintaining consistency and quality.
Assist with meal preparation during busy periods to ensure timely service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or replenishment needs to the head chef or manager.
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Support the team by serving dishes when required and assisting with general kitchen duties as needed.
Experience
Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling of ingredients is essential.
Experience with meal preparation and culinary techniques will be advantageous.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including knives, ovens, and fryers, is desirable.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are important qualities for success in this role.
Prior experience in serving or front-of-house roles is a plus but not mandatory.
