Job Summary

Stacked Pancake House, Southdown is seeking dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience in the food service industry. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing high-quality meals to our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Willingness to assist others and contribute positively to the team dynamic. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$18.50 per hour
