We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food handling, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas.
Ensure all food items are stored properly and adhere to food safety standards.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Help with menu planning and special event preparations when required.
Skills
Proficient in meal preparation techniques within a fast-paced food service environment.
Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
Experience working in a kitchen setting, preferably in a restaurant or similar establishment.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
