We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meal preparation in a fast-paced environment. This role involves both cooking and food preparation duties, ensuring that all dishes meet our restaurant's standards for quality and presentation. Experience in a breakfast restaurant or as a head cook will increase your chance of getting selected for an interview.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe cooking environment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, specials, and improvements in service.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices is essential.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends for sure.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in food preparation.
