We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
Assist in the meal preparation process, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
