We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential for ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and preparation.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Follow proper storage procedures for food items to minimize waste.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and meal preparation techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills in the kitchen.
