We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong understanding of food handling and safety practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure high-quality food handling practices.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety protocols.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
