Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to menu specifications and recipes Assist in menu planning and daily meal preparation for various dining services Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including knife skills and proper food handling techniques Support kitchen operations during service hours, ensuring timely delivery of meals Assist with plating and presentation of dishes to meet quality standards Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen workflow and customer satisfaction Participate in catering events and special meal preparations as needed

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a dietary aide in a restaurant or healthcare setting Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Experience with menu planning, food industry standards, and fine dining service preferred Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to adapt recipes accordingly is a plus Strong teamwork skills, reliability, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role

Pay: $15.00-$21.51 per hour
