Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our restaurant maintains high standards of food quality and safety. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining an efficient kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare and Plate menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up stations for service and cleaning up after service.

Skills

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff members. A passion for meal preparation and an eagerness to learn new cooking methods or cuisines. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
