Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and assisting in menu execution to ensure high-quality dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to menu specifications and recipes Cook and plate meals efficiently while maintaining quality standards Assist with menu planning and daily prep work to ensure smooth kitchen operations Handle food safely, adhering to all food handling and sanitation protocols Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts Support other kitchen staff during busy periods, including plating and serving as needed Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers following safety guidelines Follow all health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus Background in restaurant or catering environments highly desirable Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Culinary experience or formal training in the food industry is advantageous Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$23.22 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
