Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed to maintain food safety standards. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Participate in daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes and sanitizing workstations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment is a plus. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques.
