Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality meals efficiently and maintaining the smooth operation of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent food safety practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, and a strong understanding of food handling and cooking techniques is essential to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and timely service Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations Follow all food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures Support the team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple orders Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen meet quality and safety standards Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer service

Requirements

Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and evenings if required Basic understanding of serving protocols within a restaurant setting

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$22.11 per hour

Work Location: In person
