We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join Rae's Bistro. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and committed to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste and presentation.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management.
Help train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and equipment usage.
Skills
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service setting.
Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to efficiently prepare meals while maintaining high standards of quality.
Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills for effective teamwork in the kitchen.
A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry.
