The Opportunity



Ancora Waterfront Dining & Patio's

cuisine manifesto is hinged on sustainable seafood, while sourcing local and international ingredients, and draws inspiration from its Pacific Northwest surroundings. Understanding the city's dining evolution has inspired Ancora to create a menu that accommodates all of its diners' culinary desires, combining flavours and techniques which embrace several diverse cultures in a modern, yet approachable setting.

We are looking for an experienced, talented and passionate

Line Cook (Part time)

at our

Ambleside

location to keep Ancora's menus and dishes on the cutting edge of fine dining. The ideal candidate will have a sincere passion for hospitality and upscale service.

What You'll Do



Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen are set up and stocked.

Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.

Report to the Head Chef and follow instructions accordingly.

Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.

Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers.

Stock inventory and supplies.

Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.

What You Have



2+ years of experience in the same or a similar role.

Enthusiastic and committed to guest satisfaction.

Honest, trustworthy and reliable.

Strong attention to detail.

Availability to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered.
