Join our team at 1516 Pub and Grill! We have exciting opportunities available within our back of house team. A successful candidate would be one with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a passion for quality guest service!

1516 Pub and Grill is looking for experienced line/prep cooks to join our team! Ideal candidates will have a flexible schedule, have the ability to multitask, take directions, be a team player have a willingness to learn and work in a fast paced manner.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Monitor food inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the kitchen manager

- Other duties as assigned

Experience:

- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking in a restaurant or similar setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
