Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Japanese Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and meal preparation within a restaurant or kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that high-quality dishes are prepared efficiently and safely, adhering to all food safety and handling standards.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards. Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including cooking stations and equipment. Follow proper food safety and handling procedures to minimize risks of contamination. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within the restaurant or food service industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$27.02 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
