Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate cook with expertise in steak preparation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience cooking various cuts of steak to perfection, ensuring consistent quality and taste.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook steak dishes according to customer preferences (e.g., rare, medium, well-done). Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Follow food safety guidelines, including proper food handling and storage procedures. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as needed. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management. Maintain equipment and utensils in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly. Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen environment. Assist in planning menus, determining size of food portions Assist in hiring and training kitchen staff.

Experience

Proven experience cooking steaks in a professional kitchen. Knowledge of different steak cuts and preparation methods. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures is beneficial. Steak cooking knowlege is a must Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
