Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food preparation and safety standards. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our customers.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and health standards. Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations, including maintaining cleanliness and organization. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following proper food handling procedures. Help train new kitchen staff as needed, sharing knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Requirements

Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Food Handling Certification from a NL Gov approved provided would be an asset. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $17.00-$19.50 per hour
