We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment while adhering to food safety standards. Your expertise in cooking and food preparation will contribute to our restaurant's success and customer satisfaction.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and cooking ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management
Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety practices, and meal preparation
Familiarity with various kitchen equipment and tools used in food service
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
