Summary of position:
The Cook is responsible for preparing soups, salads, proteins, sauces, vegetables, starches, and desserts. Cook may assist with ordering food and supplies, keeping records and accounts. Ensuring all aspects of the daily kitchen setups and teardowns are conducted
Duties and Responsibilities:
? Ensure food are prepared to the standard set by the Chef in efficient and timely manner
? Able to read and reproduce the recipe
? Indicate level of amounts on hand and required
? Demonstrate a professional, positive and team player attitude at all times
? Communicate effectively with all team members
? Ensure safety, sanitation and cleanliness of self and workstations at all times
? Treat all company property with care and respect
? Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner
? Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
? Minimum 1 year cooking experience within a commercial kitchen
? Must have valid Food Safe level 1 certificate
? Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends
? Ability to perform physical requirements to the position including standing for 4 hours and lifting 25 lbs
? Good interpersonal skills
? Have appropriate tools and knife skills
