Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of cooking experience in a similar pub setting. Brunch experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines throughout all stages of food preparation. Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and storing food items properly. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols. Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to ensure consistency.

Requirements

Proven experience as a cook in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary skills.
